TS 281 GRIP

A drinking set which invites for everyday use.

Lobmeyr, 2009

Developed together with the Lobmeyr craftspeople, a rather technical looking design comes to life. A special lamella cut has been developed by emphasizing on the importance that is ascribed to a haptic pleasure when drinking from a glass - literally the "grip". Similar to the well-known "American Bar" set Adolf Loos designed for Lobmeyr in 1929, the ornament prevents scratch marks on the bottom during use. Complementing its "Grip" the drinking set wants to keep the balance between the delicacy of mouthblown glass and glassware that invites for everyday use.

The set consists of shot glass, beer glass, wine glass, double old-fashioned tumbler, water/wine decanter, whiskey decanter, fruit bowl and flower vase.
